Indian boys emerge SAFF U-15 football champions

Indian boys football team, featuring Odisha duo Ranjan Soren and Aula Siba Prasad  won South Asia Football Federation (SAFF) Under-15 Championship, trouncing Nepal 7-0 in the final at Kalyani Stadium in Kalyani, West Bengal today.

India scored a total of 28 goals without conceded any in the five matches they played in the tournament. The victory also meant that India are now the most successful team in the history of tournament, winning the title for a record third time after previous wins in 2013 and 2017. Captain Anish Majumdar dedicated the victory to a team effort.
